GROUPS

CONNECT

Our Groups provide the primary place you can experience authentic community and spiritual growth. We have two types of groups at RHC: Community Groups (sermon-based discussion with roughly 8-16 people and open to all) & Discipleship Groups (closed groups of 3-5 people for accelerated spiritual transformation). Connect with a Group!

Check out our Community Group options below:

DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS

D GROUPS

A Discipleship Group is a closed group, usually gender specific, who gather regularly for the purpose of accelerated spiritual transformation. It follows the model of Jesus who, in addition to the twelve disciples, invested in an inner core of three disciples: Peter, James and John. (Mark 1:29; 5:37; 9:2; 13:3; Matt. 26:37)
The goal is to help each other become more like Jesus in belief, attitude, and action. (Eph. 4:11-16; Col. 1:28-29; Rom. 8:29)

QUESTIONS ABOUT D GROUPS

  • While the content of D-Groups might vary depending on the track the leader chooses, all D-Groups follow the same 3-part rhythm:

    1. LOOK BACK
Time to connect and review past meetings and accountability steps

    2. LOOK UP
Time when new teaching, training content, or material will be covered. The majority of your D Group meeting time will be spent here.

    3. LOOK FORWARD
Time to share Spirit-empowered action steps and pray for each other.

  • We currently have three specific tracks that a group may choose to follow. Each session targets growth in knowledge, character, and practical living.

    BIBLE TRACK
This track takes the Scriptures as its starting point and moves towards the heart and life of each participant from there.

    PURSUITS TRACK
This track walks someone through the 7 Pursuits of a Disciple content which includes 16 total sessions.

    RESOURCE TRACK
This track takes some other Christian resource that is biblically saturated and moves toward Jesus and transformation from there.

  • A person who leads a Discipleship Group is:

    - A member, or currently pursuing membership, at RHC.
    - Connected with a Community Group.
    - A man or woman of F.A.I.T.H (Faithful, Available, Intentional, Teachable and Hungry)
    - Willing to go through D Group Leader Training and/or a past D Group Participant.
